I am going to be changing the gears in the rear end....but does the case matter..like if i buy 3.91 with a 489 case will it bolt right up to my exsisting rear end that has a 741 case...?

I am almost positive that all 8 3/4 cases will bolt to the housing with no problems. i know that I have changed 741 and 742 out with no probs. From what I have read and understand is if the diameter is same the bolt patterns will be too! Good Luck!
