OK. I have always wanted to write to Mopar Action and ask them what was up with the red hemicuda but as you can see I never have. The question that has been rolling around in my pea brain for decades is...............HOW DO YOU PUT FUEL IN IT? the tail panel has no license plate bracket and no provision for fuel. If you happen to have that old 80's issue, check it out, the tail panel is bare between the taillights. You have to realize this was way before computer graphic photoshop or anything of that nature but I guess it could be a faked photo. Anyone know the answer to this perplexing question????????????? The car was bought by some pharmacy owner who died and his cars were all auctioned off. The punchline was that the funeral home dude that buried the pharmacy guy ended up buying the car unaware until title transfer.

I think you just opened the trunk and there was a opening in there for gas.

But why? was that car modded or what? I always wondered if it was some sort of pilot car but surely it would have had the panel and fuel filler neck on the tail panel like the production cars.

I dont even know where my copy is and I dont have a scanner :(  I dont know if anyone remembers that article, it was in the mid 80's if I remember right. I will look through some mags and see if I can come up with a month and  year of the article.

I remember that car. The license plate delete made the car look super wide and clean!!!

I guess they had a filler in the trunk but I don't know either.   Maybe it was modified with a racing fuel cell in the trunk  :dunno:

checking their site, it had to have been 1988-1989 when the mag started. do you remember what the cover looked like?
