Cuda Road Lamp Switch
« on: February 14, 2008 - 02:56:44 PM »
Took this off of my car when I bought it.  It's the raod lamp switch for a Cuda.  The switch worked fine when removed but of course it doesn't go on a Challenger.  The chrome toggle is in good shape not Show quality.  The plastic bezel is also in good shape and will work fine as a quality drive part if yours is missing.  I've seen these on ebay and the prices range from crazy to acceptable.  Make an offer if you want it before I put it on ebay/the lions den.  Hope I can help a member.  Chuck

moparal, I did have one other person ask about the switch.  I need to let him have a crack at it first if he still wants it.  Tell me how to tell whether it's a 70 or not and I will check.  Thanks, Chuck

It looks like a 70, I have been told a 71 is different. It will hook into the 70 harness I got off a member here. The chrome piece on the switch is belled like the 70 and the trim bezel looks right.  Your other person just called me and said that I could have it

Ok Brother, I guess it's yours.  I cleaned it up a bit more and it looks great!!  The toggle looks perfect and the switch case cleaned up well with some 4-0 steel wool.  Check my profile for my email and we can finish things up there.  Chuck

Edit:  I may have been a bit premature on this post.  Let me make sure the first responder passed.  Sorry, as soon as he responds I'll shoot you a PM.  Chuck

Hey guys, I think I am the guy you are referring to.  I sent you a message that I would take it, and then I saw your post here.

Just to make things clear-

R/T - I really appreciate the fact that you gave me first chance since I replied first, and will glady buy the switch if Alan decides he doesn't want it.

Al - I already told R/T I would take the switch, but considering everything you do here, I would prefer you get first chance at it.  If you don't want it, or find another one, please let me know as I will keep looking for one.

You guys on this site are the best.
