I worked for Lorne @ ground Zero Racecars in Calgary for a couple of years he is a great guy  & can get most diff parts needed , his # is
403 720 -3348
I don`t know if he can get 3.7 gears from his suppliers though

CP,
I am at the mercy of good advice here.
I have a mild 360 w/2500 stall etc, and the 727 and 3:23 gears.
Some have said to go 3:91 gears, others 3:55, then another fellow said he used to run the 3:70 and felt that would be awesome for my Cuda.
The car will always be a mild 360, give or take a few minor mods I may make in time.

What is the difference in the 2010 741 and 2010 742 8-3/4 ?
My red 1974 has the 742, the black 74 the 741.
I was going to send the 8-3/4 out of the black 74 to get 3:73 put in, and hoped when it was done, i could swap it into the red cuda.

Never Mind, I found it...
1-3/8" small stem pinion... (aka. '741')
1-3/4" large stem pinion... (aka. '742')...

355's are probably the most all around fun gear. I'm currently running 456's and they just closed the local drag strip so I'll be looking for a set of 355's myself.

I recommend AP Transmission in Edmonton (Peter).  He has been around along time and does all sorts of gearboxes and diffs. (did my A833.)
