My wife drives a 94 Cadillac Eldorado. Late last summer it developed a water leak that only occured now and then. Had to add water every couple of weeks. Could not find the leak. Then after the first couple of hard freezes this winter I found the hole and had to replace the radiator. It was just before christmas so to save a few bucks I pulled it myself. After getting the new radiator in all was well for like 2 weeks when the wife tells me it is out of water again. This time all it was a loose hose clamp so I tightened all the clamps. Last Thursaday she calls me and tells me that the car is pukeing water out the left front side again. Just pouring out. WTF?
Now I'm mad and tell the wife she need to get rid of that P O S or fully insure it and burn it to the ground. When she gets home I check it and and I had over tightend a hose clamp and it rubbed a hole in the lower hose was all. I got off work early Friday so I could replace the hose. I had the garage opened to get to my tools and got to looking at the cuda just sitting there and thought I should start it at least---had been awhile. Well one thing lead to another and after unburying all the junk that had been piled on the car over the winter I was off down the street for the first drive of the year
As I headed down the street the car was smoking badlly and started to fill the inside---not cool. I came back around the block and pulled back into the garage. The 90 deg. oil adapter had loosend up and was dumping oil on my headers. After fixing this I was back out again. I am in the early stages of planning to get my car repainted and have a couple of dents that need pounded out first. Since I was out for a cruise I stopped at a body shop by my house to get an estament. Guess what---they don't do old cars--only insurance work on newer cars. I stopped at three more shops and was told the same thing by all of them. Now I have to find an actuall restoration type shop just to get a fender fixed. I was getting bummed at this fact so I just went for a long drive out to the country. Turned up the tunes and took off. Burned up a hole tank of gas
Man I felt better after this. OH YEA back to my wifes caddy---remember the innocent comment that she needed to get rid of that P O S----I got woke up from a nap yesterday by my daughter who said I needed to come out side. Look what was in the driveway. An 06 Charger R/T with the hemi.
Any one wont to buy a used caddy with 225,000 miles. Well I'm off for a little road trip into the mountains---got to check out the wifes new ride. Now I won't complain when she borrows my truck and I have to use her car.
