Does anyone have any pictures of how a 70 Chally R/T grill area should be painted? Is it flat black?

I'm at work goofing off, so I don't have a picture, but it is a semi-gloss black.

Mike you the man, your like my personal assistant this week. I have a few stone nicks, that I want to have fixed, so rather than just touch it up I think a full repaint is in order. Screwing off @ work is a bonus, Friday is car day @ my shop. What state are you in Mike?

That's a great question. I know we have beat this topic to death in the past, and I believe the verdict was there wasn't a paint code. I could be wrong.  :dunno: Just looking at all the original cars at Carlisle, I think any semi-gloss or satin black will work fine. Do you plan to do the headlight bezels too?

Original paint was suede, unlike the interior suede it had a smooth finish to it.

PLUM 70,

Also notice in those great pics above, the inner two ribs are left bare around the center of the grill... if you want totally correct. It's just a slight difference, but I see many painted. It looks like HemiOrange70 has his painted. Most bare aluminum doesn't last over time(it tarnishes), so it might look better painted. Just another decision you might have to make.   :poopoke:
