What do you think is a fair price for this Cuda?

The price looks to be on the money because it is a real big block 383 'Cuda,  But if he has the cash then offer $35,000 cash on the spot after you have looked underneath and in the trunk and take a fridge magnet to check for thick bondo repairs.  Do not be scared to show your concern looking for rust, just explain you do not want to get caight out buying a lemon.

It's got the wrong year valve covers on it. Looks like 68/69. It has had the bottom repainted over the undercoating. You can tell by the frame rails, look inside the holes, see the surface rust? The exhaust is missing the resonators for the tips, it has air shocks installed, and no passing gear hooked up on the carb linkage for the trans, also no fan shroud. Have you noticed that already Ut? I just did a quick look for you was all. For todays prices and a nom, it needs more correct authentic parts for the money. No heat shield on the exhaust manifold either.  Sorry if I'm picking it apart on you, I have noticed in the past you are looking for good correct cars and have posted many better then this one, in better condition.

It seems like a little to high for a 383 'cuda. But it looks to be in very good condition, maybe for a little bit less. For a high impact, big block it maybe a great car for just under 40k.

He has the same post over on Moparts and they rated it around 35 to 40k as I recall
