The Revs plans
« on: March 03, 2008 - 08:41:39 PM »
So I've been hanging around here after joining just getting a feel for the site so I thought I would share my plans for my cuda and get some feedback. I have a full suspension ordered from RMS( alterk front, airbar rear w/coilovers, front and rear disc brakes). I am planning a 5 speed retrofit, and since i had a 500" stroker kit laying around i figured this would be a good spot to use it. I have also been talking with Rich at fastman efi and am pretty sure i will go that route. I really like the 17" torque thrust wheels I've seen on some members rides so..... Anyways long post but what do you guys think about two tone kinda like some of the Foose stuff?
P.S. All the fun will start as soon as I finish the restoration on an off brand for a Va. state trooper (67 ss 396 Chebby)

Sounds high tech, high dollar and totally awesome!! Should be a sweet & FAST ride!! I like two tone if the colors aren't too hard on the eyes! Keep us posted on your project. Don't be shy to ask questions either!! :2thumbs:

First off, welcome to the site!  Secondly, your plan sounds pretty cool, especially if by two tone you mean a factory AAR scheme or slightly altered. :grinyes:

I'm thinking a paint sceam something similar to Dan Goodmans car or the one 4cruizn posted in the bodyshop under grill ideals. The car is viper yellow now so maybe that on the bottom with plum crazy on the top??? Still thinking. If i could figure out the resizeing thing I would post a pic of car. I already posted in members rides but its way too big????

This is a nice program I found out from this site, easy to use, easy to download.

You should start a thread in the restoration area and post your progress so we all can watch.  Oh and I made your pics alittle smaller.  Copy them to your PC and you have smaller pics!!

I personally am not too crazy about any two-tone Cuda, except the way Chrysler offered them with a painted roof. I love those, but you rarely see one. Purple and yellow Cuda  :scared:. If it has to be two-tone, you might want to consider silver/gray, black/gray, white/silver or something to that extent. Two bright colors together rarely looks good in my opinion. A more subtle two-tone looks more clean/classy and bright colors usually look, well, a little gaudy. Very nice looking car, keep us posted and good luck.
