UMmm that is the BEFORE picture!!! Sorry to confuse anyone. I thought I made it clear!! But yeah, it will pop off like it is shown. As a matter of fact, the alternator hub wouldn't even spin. The belt would spin on it!! lots of smoke!!  :scared: It's fixed. thanks for thr input!! :bigsmile:

Glad you got it figured out. I just remembered 1 tech tip. If the bottom adjusting bolt for the belt is too long, it will hit the fins and keep it from spinning freely. Do not over tighten the correct bolt as it will strip easy in the aluminum threads. The top bolt has to have the spacer against the head or it will bind the alternator up as well, 2 bolt spacers are required on the top bolt. 1 in between the alternator and the other behind it.

I see the "before"  part now, from the post above. Glad you got it figured out.  I still don't know why you had to bend anything.  I usually start with the bolt and alternator, align it with a belt,  then decide how log to mage the 2 spacers.  The bracket holes should all just fall into place.
