Steering shaft- box coupler

Is there an after market  steering shaft coupler?  The stock coupler is a pia ,never seems to fit together properly and also the tube headers heat up the rubber seal and distort it..........    The stock coupler seems like a bad design to me,looking for a better way.

Flaming River makes them.  Summit and Mancini sell em.  Not cheap.  About 150.00 or 160.00 each.  Different part numbers for manual and power steering.

You could upgrade to a tubular front end w/rack and pinion steering for $3500  ;D or just use some water pump pliers so you can squeeze the tabs on both sides of the cap at the same time.  This seems to work for me.

here's the one you want.  http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/mouadma.html

Mopar U-joint adapter Manual

This adapter is ideal for picking up header clearance by eliminating the old rag joint with your stock power box. Electroless nickel plated for corrosion resistance. The length is 4 1/2 inches so it cannot be used for power to manual conversion, but is the easiest installation for your existing setup.
