Adjusted front suspension and........
« on: April 03, 2008 - 10:54:07 PM »
So I turned the torsion bolt and lowered my front end down about an inch and a half.  But now the steering seems loose and the car is all over the place on the highway at higher speeds.  Did this throw my front end out of alignment or is there something else i should be worrying about?     :dunno:

Yeah, if you lowered it that much you will need an alignment.

lowering the car will affect both the camber & toe in

Your camber, caster and toe in will be way out not to mention the lower bump stop rubbers will be very close. Must be driving like a horse cart.   :faint:
Have your front end guy set up the heights and make sure there is enough travel in the lower control arm, then set the rest of the front end alignment.   :2thumbs:

OK Thanks guys.  I wouldn't have done it if I knew it would cost me a front end alignment.   :banghead:    Its looks good though.   ;)

You can always turn it back up the inch and a half you dropped it until your ready to spring for an alignment.

Yep, just crank it back up the same number of turns. Wont hurt a thing.
