Loose alternator brushes??
« on: April 20, 2008 - 12:21:56 AM »
Going over things under the hood (after a massive headbang!) I noticed the 2, 1/4" bolts that  hold the alt brushes in were for lack of a better term , backing out. One just two turns worth , but the other was backed out about a 1/4".
I've never seen this happen before. They seemed to tighten up with no problem. So my questionis is this a HEMI thing??? Vibration causing the bolts to back out?? Or just a fluke?? NIKKI get driven some good distances weather permitting. I'd hate to loose my charing system 50 miles from home....  :walkaway:
70 Chally R/T Convertible- Yes she's really got a HEMI, no she's not a Charger!
