Need pics of MP Subframe connectors Installed!
« on: April 12, 2008 - 04:32:22 PM »
OK, I spent some time trying to figure out how these things go in...  I couldn't find any pics in the search feature, so I'm hoping someone has pics of these.

Just don't seem to fit right.

Can you post a photo of them?  It may be that you were sent the wrong ones.  I happened to me once.

OK DB that's what mine look like, you added the bit to close up the end of it?  I thought they would sit all the way up so they could be "bolted in"LOL

I would take some better pics too though. :1zhelp:

Tom

Here is a couple pics of the ones I got.

Yes I did, I dint want the open ends.
You just need to trim up the ends to get the bar to sit up tight next to the frame.

Thanks DB's,  I got it that far up but thought they should go higher.  But they hit the floorpan under the rear footwell area anyways.  Not sure what I'm going to do yet. :villagers:

I cut them as per the instructions already.

Tom :misbehaving:

I might just fit them up and tack them in and have a buddy put some good welds on them.

Tom ;)

Hey Tom,

I would be more than glad to weld them in old mate.   But i fear you will want to drive long before Winter comes again.  It is a bit of a hike from hear. :cooldancing:

I would have to do some major modifications to drive to you. :roflsmiley:

Yeah IMCARN82, I think I might just fit them up and stop by a welder to make sure they are in good.  I can spark it up a bit, but since it is structural, I would hate to have them pop off from a bad bead.LOL :misbehaving:

Perfect 500 Stroker!  I thought I messed them up somehow.  I got 1 side in and called it quits cause my engine was ready to pick up.LOL  I'll get at the other side this weekend hopefully.

Thanks for the pics. :picture:

Tom

To complicate matters my rear sway bar is mounted right in the same spot.  I may just cut an access hole in the bottom to be able to torque the bolt when necessary. :dunno:

I was really confused when we put mine in a few years ago.  Came with no directions at all.  Had no Idea we had to cut them to make them fit.  :pullinghair:
