You can see some of it in my signature pic. It's down by the license plate. 70-71 had the 2 piece trim, while 72-74's had one solid piece.

Would this fit on a '73? I replaced the grille opening molding on mine with a repro, but my lower valance molding could use replacing.

72-74 had a one piece trim on the valence. I'm not sure if it's the same size or not as the 2 piece. I wish I could help.

the opening is the same size so yes it would fit as well

It will fit. The valance is a little different but it won't interfere with the molding.
