Thanks Chryco.  I thought the same thing.  I have it on Ebay and was asked about it.  I wasn't 100% sure. I didn't want to misrepresent the part.

From memory it looks just like the 3.21 SG unit that was in my 75 Cordoba. I did not know they were a bolt in for an 8 3/4 on our E-bodies. At one time I tried to put an 8 3/4 unit in my Cordoberman but it was like an inch too short, there was some sort of interference with the U bolts. It might be that I was using a B body rearend, it was my brother in laws and at that time he had more B bodies than E bodies.

It is like the Cordoba unit.  I originally bought this for a 79 300.  I sold the car 3 years ago and I don't know where it went.  It was during a bad money crunch time.  My Dad bought the car new.  It had 20,000 miles on it when I sold it.

whoops, meant to say its in a box behind the challenger...  The 9.25 SG unit won't fit a 8.75 housing.

yeah, the 9.25 SGs are great because they came in a lot of cars and trucks post 72.  and the 9.25 rear isn't a slouch in the strength dept either!  So aftermarket gears or new SG units are pretty affordable.

73+ rear interchange is quirky because of the iso-clamp system they started using in the B-bodies that migrated over to C, FJM, and Rs.  Special u-bolts and everything.
