Anyone have an original set of Challenger louvers?
« on: April 20, 2008 - 10:57:58 PM »
I have in my possession a set of louvers that fit my 70 Challenger, but noticed the flange that mounts onto the roof uses three bolts (or screws). I saw a supposedly correct set on a cuda at a car show and the roof bracket only had two holes. Which is an original? Or were the mounting  brackets different for the two cars?

I have a set of original Challenger ones here.  The hinges each bolt to the roof with 2 screws and the hinges bolt to the louver with 3 screws.

My cuda came with louvers. They were gone when I got the car but the mounting hardware was still there.  Mine has the three holes going into the roof.  I wonder if there is a difference between cudas and challenger mounting on the roofs?

Cudas and Challengers used the same hinge, 3 to the roof, 3 to the louvers.   When installed you only see 2 screws into the roof as the 3rd is under the hinge.
