4 speed shifters
« on: April 20, 2004 - 09:38:53 AM »
CP you said I could use a Hurst Competition Plus shifter in a my 74 Cuda w/833 OD.  Tried searching for that shifter in Jegs / Summit and they are saying it only fits
1966-72 Charger
1965-72 Coronet/Super Bee
1965-72 Belvedere/GTX
1968-72 Roadrunner
Also my local performance shop is saying the same thing?  will these shifters fit my car?
Currently Performance Improvements (in Ontario) is having a spring sale, so i would like to pick one up this week.
Here is the part number #530-391-6789

seeing that the 71-72 Charger use the exact same parts as the 70-74 E body I guess it fits , , actually I know i tfits  , you need the longer rods for the 71-72 Charger & E body which I believe Hurst has discontinued though , but the rods are available from Brewers

Thanks you
That amazing news, I should be ordering my new shifter this weekend.  I will most likely get my rods form Brewers or Year One-($73.00), depends on who is cheaper!
