Someone missing their 71 motor/trans for a Challenger? I may have it.

Hello All, I'm a Charger guy and have a 69 Charger SE that I've had for about 13 years. One of the guys on the Charger forum suggested I post this here. My car is a 383 SE car but it's NOT the original engine. I have someone's number matching 71 Challenger engine and trans in my car. The number on the trans are 1B260855. I'll have to look at the number on the motor but I know it's a matched set and for a Challenger as I checked it years ago when I redid the motor.

I am interested in selling this motor and trans as a set. I have a new 512ci stroker motor going into my 69 Charger and have no need for this engine. I have a list of all that was done to it and it runs VERY well. I have no idea what this is worth.

Welcome newbie   If you dont find the original owner it may not bring good money, used 383's are not expensive, I'd bet you would get more for the 71 727 trans...good luck
