Master brake cylinder - what kind..???

Am I rigth - if the car goes from drum to disc brakes, in front, you have to put inn some kind of regulator in the brake-lines..

I need a new master cylinder, but don't know if the old one is made for drums or disc's - if I just order a new disc one, and the old one has been for drums, do I got a problem..

How do I know what I got, and what to order..

a drum/ drum master will have a 10 PSI residual presure valve , with disc brake the brakes will drag so you need to get a master built for Disc / drum , now the rear brakes may lock too early on hard stops so you may need to install an Adjustable proportioning valve in th erear brake line to lower pressure to the rear brakes & balance the system

What you say is..

My car is proberbly built as drum/drum, but now got discs in front ( since rebuilt years ago).
So the master GOT to be a disc/ drum already.. and already got to have the Adjustable proportioning valve, or it wouldent work now..

I'm up to gettin a new one, don't know if I should order a disc. or drum/drum master..
