MSD wiring question.
« on: April 30, 2008 - 05:54:41 PM »
I am about to order my engine bay wiring from Evans wiring and noticed that they have 2 kinds of wiring. Electronic ignition and points. I have a 6A msd box and MSD distributor. Which wiring set would work better for this type of set up? Thanks

Electronic.  Points type is only if you are returning the vehicle to stock condition.  Someone who has worked with Evans before will know better, but I suspect that the electronic ignition set assumes a Mopar electronic ignition.  You may wish to call them and let them know you're using an MSD setup and see if they can pre-wire the harness for MSD.

Good call Greg, if he is using the MSD setup it won't really matter as the instructions allow either or to exist in the car regardless.  I would get the elec just in case you want to swap it later, IE side of the road.LOL  I have a Mallort/summit ignition and left all the factory stuff n there just in case.
