Master brake cylinder - Got it...
« on: May 04, 2008 - 12:18:43 PM »

When I push my brakes normaly, the car brakes nice..
If I hold a sligth pressure, like waithing for a stopligth or cruizin in a row, suddenly the brake-pedal dissapere down to the floor, pretty fast..
When I get of it, it's back to normal..

My guess is, it's the master brake cylinder, - rigth..???

Is this an original 71 cylinder..???

Where do I get a new one...???

Yep,bad master cylinder. Start with some rust killer on those line fittings before you attempt to remove it

Where do I get a new one...???
It looks like an original Bendix that would be correct for a '71.
If you don't mind aftermarket you should be able to find one at most parts stores, new or rebuilt.
If yours is an original Bendix, don't throw it away!  There are rebuild kits available or you can send it out to have it rebuilt.

-Well, - here in Denmark, "most part stores" aint got it..
They only sell  parts for European and Japaneese cars..   :bricks1:

I need a "part-pusher" with a net store..???
