In addition to the headlight buckets is it required to change out the physical inner fender structure as well?

I don't think so, but to be honest I haven't seen the inside of both fenders in person.

Could consider fiberglass, may be cheaper as far as $$$?  I dunno... :dunno:

The fiberglass buckets are only 40 bucks each, but as I mentioned before you'd have to figure out how to mount them...

I actually posted it above already, but here it is again

http://www.up22.com/index.htm

Mounting them might not be so simple though, and as I mentioned earlier you'll still need a few more parts to make it work.

I bought my hood from unlimited products (www.up22.com) and the quality was crap and it didn't fit at all. others on here have had similar results.

 :iagree:

Yeah, I've seen other reviews of their stuff that was less than impressive, including the headlight buckets, which I mentioned earlier. On the other hand, if you don't have 300 bones for a metal pair, its at least some kind of option.

Since its fiberglass and mostly not visible, you could probably "make them fit" and strengthen them up if need be and still come out ahead on price, fiberglass is pretty cheap.

Obviously if "show" quality is needed the only way to go is a metal pair, either new or from a "patch" quality set of old fenders.

Its been done more than a few times, I've seen a couple examples in pictures on the web. Bananaskin has a car that was set up this way by a PO and has converted it back, not sure if anyone else on here has done it. Its really just a matter of getting all the front end parts to swap the grilles, the headlights are the only tricky part for that. But to be 100% you'll have to weld in a new tail panel and side marker mounts, which is a pretty time consuming/costly procedure.
