Northern CA, Sacramento area shops?
« on: May 07, 2008 - 10:07:53 AM »
Hey guys, I am looking for a good shop in the Sacramento area to do some work on my Challenger (power steering, some electrical etc.) that I can not get done myself.  I have found a few through online searches, but wanted ask here since I know you guys have more experience.  Any recommendations are welcome.  Thanks.

Sorry, I'm not any help; but I'm also in the Sacramento area and would be interested in the results! I do most of my work myself, but it can never hurt to have a decent place to take the car to if it comes down to it...

I take my cars to Steve at Classics By Steve.  He's a thru and thru mopar guy and can handle anything you throw at him, for a reasonable price.  He is in Oakland though, not Sacramento.

Thanks for the tip on the Oakland shop.  About a 2 hour drive is doable if I had to, but would prefer something closer.  I saw a place called ET Muscle cars near Orangevale, but have no knowledge of their rep.  Also, Roseville Rod and Custom is close, and I know they do GREAT work, but I think they are more of a one off kind of place.  With my work schedule lately I just want to narrow it down to some really solid places to call/drive to before I take the time.  Thanks again.

Have you looked into Gearhead Garage on Roseville Rd. in Sacramento, gearheadcars.com. I stopped by their shop one time when I was looking into buying a Challenger which will have to wait for now. They do mostly chevy work, but have restored a Challenger, Cuda, and I believe a Road Runner.
