Cuda Challenger.com Hall of Fame
« on: May 09, 2008 - 08:43:06 PM »
We should start our own Hall of Fame, honoring current and past members for their contributions to the site and to the Mopar Enthusiasts altogether. There has to be a place for people like Tony last year that gave so much to the Cuda Guy project. Then vendors/members such as DQHemi that without XV Motorsports we wouldn't have half the toys that we do. I think of how disheartening that it is when you are reading a magazine and come across something new and cool, then you read on and it says - For Chevys/Fords. Although, Now we have XV Motorsports that is dedicated to making all of our Mopars better.

Of course we would have nominations once a year and we would have to decide what categories (i.e. contributions to site, technical, emeritus, etc.), how many electees per year and just how many categories can CP be elected for. What categories do you all think that we should have ???? Should we have like Best Build, Best restoration OR What ???

Sounds great to me. A few names seem to always stand out more than others like Neil, Tony or Alan but the site as a whole has a bunch of really knowledgable, dedicated and generous people. I dont think you could pick a better group of people period. I guess the Moparnut doesnt fall far from the tree.

Nothing against XV,they have some nice products, but they have a business to make money and if it wasn`t profitable no business would be making Mopar parts. It`s the people who deserve the credit for helping out other Mopar nuts or anyone for that matter-thier names have already been mentioned. As far as a Hall of Fame I don`t think we need one as we all know who they are and I`m guessing a simple thanks is all they need from us.

The forum software does give the option of having member ratings, where for each post a member can recieve a + or - point. However these lead to conflict within sites, so most administrators leave this feature disabled.

I also know that there are are a number of long serving members here who could see this just becoming another one of those site popularity contests, much like voting for a new moderator.

MEK should get something for all the  :poopoke: he gets, like the good guy award or something.  He takes it all with good humor.   :2cents:

Hey CP,

Alan would get a small motor home or trailer for cp and let him live on a 1/4 acre to come and go as he pleases. I would even donate a vehicle for him to use.  We never run out of food here and you wouldnt use enough electricity to even change the meter reading. Come find you a southern bell to get you into the states. There are machine shops and mechanic shops that pay cash for labor around here. Maybe you could help me figure out how to convert the shop over to a hp parts store.  Big money around here for that.  My door is open for you CP.  No gimmicks, just plain easy living
