Some advice please from you Tranny experts.
I just bought a 70 challenger that is fresh off a restoration that has a 727 hooked up to a 440 that shifts pretty hard into 3rd the "first time" -- after that, its a lot smoother. so, when first started -- it slips into reverse & first quite smoothly (and quickly) -- it shifts pretty good into 2nd -- but the shift to third (without stepping on it at all) takes a bit of time (rpms) and, as noted, is a bit of a "lurch" when it happens. As I said, after that it slips into 3rd much better..... but its got me concerned. Any thoughts? Any there any "additives" I should consider that might help get me through the summer before I take it apart next winter....?
Thanks
