I took my son to watch the race and that viper was cool but what was really strange is that it leaves the line like a school bus but once it starts rolling it is like a rocket. There were also a few cool mopars there, a 70 Hemi Cuda, 68 Hemi barracuda, 66 coronet 440 and a 69 Dart. One of the best runs was by a guy in a 4 speed chevelle, he could really rip through those gears, just like the old days. On a side note, since it was heads up racing, I told my son that we would bet $1 on each race and he could pick his car first and I would take the other one. Sometimes you have to keep it interesting for a 6 year old. That little knuckle head wore me out. We bet on 16 races and he won 14 of them. His logic was really great, he always picked the viper because it sounded like an airplane and would only choose a camero if it had stripes and so on.... Anyway, we had lots of fun and just thought I would share.
