fuel pump to carb suggestions?
« on: May 04, 2008 - 07:22:37 AM »
i am looking for suggestion for plumbing from a stock mechanical fuel pump to a Summit gas line  like the one pictured below.
I am thinking braided steel line and AN6 fittings . But am open for other ideas.
If you have  braided steel and AN fittings on your carb  and have pics I would like to see them. Also if you could help me out with a parts list that would be great.
                                                 Thank you, Rick

I started using AN stuff last year. I like it.  Can you get a fuel line without a hose end on it? Mayby a AN to hard line fitting?Cut the flared ridge off. I have a black Jegs 3/8 fuel line to 6 AN fitting sitting here if you want it. I needed 7/16. Mayby get a pre-made fuel line...  Check Jegs fuel inlet fittings section.Or the Fuel fittings, hoses, lines section for adapters.

I like the Black AN's, a little more money but they look cool instead of that red or blue stuff..
I like a toned down engine compartment instead of the flashy stuff...
If I was to do mine over Black would be my choice, looks almost stock but has a little race look to it..

R/T, I have a braided hose setup that I'm looking to get rid of (blue/red fittings).  It is from the fuel pump to the carb (holley carb) and it includes the inline fuel filter.  It was only used to fire up the car (after new engine install) and then I decided I wanted to go with a more stock look.  PM me if you are interested.

I priced out the AN stuff, too rich for my blood plus I have a line like you got already too.  I used some braided line from the parts store for 15 bucks comes with the covers on the end.  I'm thinking of painting them black like others have suggested.
