If you have an old can, the formula is usually on the inside of the label.  I thought I had lost mine to so I took my old can down to the paint store and he took off the label and there it was on the inside!!  Something to check if you have one!

Here in Iceland you only bring the code C7to the paintshop and they mix the color, most of these paint producers have comparison books so it would not be a problem. My paint was base cote and clear laquer.

Depends on the tint mix colors and also on how acurate the person mixing the colors wants to be. I found that scales were the best for mixing ( very slow though ), most of the other tools especially the float arrangement were a hit and miss affair. I haven't mixed paint for 20 odd years but the new electronic machines I have seen, again seem to be a very inaccurate.   :faint:

email or call theie tech department they will give you that info. there is no reason why dupont would not have a formula for fc7. mix a quart in what ever system your going to spray and lay it down on a spare part to see what it will look like. CAUTION on your sealer coat. if you don't tint it or use a grey sealer. this will ultimately have an impact on the final color no matter how many coats of base you put down.

We had a local FinishMaster shop mix up some Dupont FC7 (C7 in their book) and twice it came out less intense, more silvery grey than the original.  We used it for the engine compartment, trunk, etc.  When the painter did the exterior of the car, he used Sherwin-Williams Plum Crazy and it was a dead-on match with the original paint on the inside of the doors.  I regret having used the Dupont paint because the difference is rather obvious. Based on that experience, I would not choose Dupont for FC7.

PPG DBU is a good match to original, the trick is not to spray lite or dry. The metalic tends to lay on top causing it to wash out and look too silver.
