« on: May 29, 2008 - 11:10:25 AM »
can anyone say if secondaries are normally larger or smaller than the primaries? i upsized both but i only have one set of each size, so i cant use the same size twice if that makes sense....  :working: <---- ongoing

Eddy carbs are different ,they use a metering rod in the front jet & may even have a larger jet in front , there are 2 #s as well on the jets , you probably have a 107 jet

Do you got the manual for the Eddy carb? If not visit the Edelbrock site and download the manuals, they are handy to have  :2thumbs:

I do have the manual, I just dont have a Dyno so its not the same "tuning with ease" not to mention, when i encounter a problem, i have no idea what to change and not to change. Ive had carbs apart but im not a "racer" so i am far from an expert of tuning.

QUESTION:
am i going to mess with A/F mixture once i play with the timing? I was doing the aparent "No-No" of idling it up when it ran like sh!t once i pulled the timing back to the recomended 12-14....... @ idle with advance plugged.

Hi Wally  ,

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge anywhere on the car ?

It would be good to see if your pump can handle its fuel delivery when excellerating under load.   If the fuel pressure drops off severly, you may have to fit a better pump then.   Fit a fuel pressure gauge on buddy, when you get the chance. :2thumbs:
