ECM died, anything I should check?
« on: June 28, 2008 - 05:39:31 PM »
Today right in front of the rodeo grounds during the rodeo my Challenger puked, embarrasing.  no spark at all, so we ran back and got my old ECM ( Mopar performance orange box ) hooked it up and it fired right up.  I put a new box on this winter so the one that died had about 100 miles on it, it was grounded good with paint scraped off both sides of the screws and on the firewall.

Does this sound like just a bum box or is there anything I should be checking that may have fried it?

The new orange modules are made in China now. So this doesn't surprise me.   :pullinghair:
