Removing paint from Chally plastic bumper molding
« on: April 29, 2004 - 01:16:11 PM »
The car was painted and the rubber/plastic moldings that go around the bumpers were painted too...  any thoughts on stripping it without damaging the plastic?
Thanks!

If the paint isn't too thick, I'd try acetone(fingernail polish remover). I had some overspray on my turn signal lenses, and that cleared them up fine.

Fine grit sandpaper on a D A and lots of time?

I've done lots of Pontiacs in the past and sanding is the
only way I could find to do it.

Course, I'm old fashion ;)
