Just wondering why you went with 1.7 rockers?  What's the benefit? All of my lobe lifts are like  .480 and up and I run a 1.5 ratio, and also make my own push rods as to get the right geometry. I have never tried any other type rocker other than harland sharp.  Are the 1.7 ratios good for racing?  Do they relieve stress some where?

I am just curious Stroker. I have a few .475 and .480 lobe lift roller cams laying around.  I had them made for me. They all make over 750+ hp . If I get down to my shop in La, I will bring you one up if you want to try one. These are all like 680 to 710 lifts or so I install them around 106 , but would have to get out cam card to tell you everything. They work great with 430 and up gears and 4500 stalls.

Hey Alan,

1.7 rockers are good when you can down size the lift of a 1.5 ratio cam and still acheive the same lift by utilising a 1.7 rocker.  This puts less strain on the valve springs and prolongs their life.  Other than that they are good to get the desired lift over a 1.5 rocker when the heads can flow to a certain cfm and the extra lift is needed. :2thumbs:

with less duration cam for better streetability... yet achieve a nice lift  :working:

It will also make a reasonable rate of lift lobe feel much faster.
