Another 5.7 cuda transplant
« on: June 05, 2008 - 09:30:09 PM »
Hello all, long story short. 500 hp 5.7 hemi in a 74 cuda. :roflsmiley: I have done allot of home work and I am confident I can fill the blanks here. I am pulling the stock 318 this weekend and I will post some picks.:working:I have all sorts of goodies in store for this cuda. When the work truck is parked the cuda will roll.
Questions:
727 tranny-5 speed overdrive? 518 will it slap right in? How about theses guys? www.redrider.us/727_transmission.htm. I want to make this as clean and painless as possible without cutting up the car. Gas mileage in Ca is a :puke: issue.

Will this 5.7 fit with the stock steering pump? Mine is kinda big and ugly, is there a good after market or a rebuild kit? It would be nice to do this with the engine out. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
