I'd still love to have a Countach even if they are unreliable and uncomfortable to drive.  :iagree: with other posters, the guy didn't know how to drive and there were issues with the car but he still would have lost even without those problems...

Just to clarify this tread.. I know it's along time since it went down, but..

.. mr.mopar aka Runar drove the Challenger..
.. It's a 528 HEMI MP crate engine/ Keisler TKO 600/ Dana 60 Suregrip 4.10:1..
.. The Lambo broke the cluch in the final run (1st video).. He was showing off all day all over town before the event started..

It looks as if the Challenger would walk off on just about any Countach. Even the new Gallardo's are not known for thier 60 ft times. Lambo's and most other exotics are not usually good in drag races.
That Chally is the hot ticket for drag racing. What is funny is the Green Brick (Valiant) has walked all over some very expensive exotics on road coarses too. This leads me to believe these exotics have more "mystique" than anything else.

Or that the owners have a lot more money than driving skill.  I used to take my mother's slant 6 Charger out and wail on Novas, Camaros, and the like.  They were fine in the straightaway, but as soon as we got to a curve they'd drop back: no skills  :smokin:

Lamborghini was actually owned by Chrysler during the days of Countach production so in their own ways, they're both tuff Mopars :)

I truly love my Challenger, but I bet a Lambo would outhandle it any day.
