Well, I have posted to a few topics, but figured I would introduce myself here as well.
I bought my car right before I graduated in 1989. Shortly after that, I lost my license in it.
That is when my journey began. I ripped it all apart and then didn't know where to start. I joined the Air Force and got sent to Alaska. I towed the car up there and worked on it off and on for +/- 6 years. Then it was a move to Texas for another +/- 6 years. I finally got it running again there and got some basic body work and paint shot. It isn't the best looking work, but I had to get it finished to ship it to Korea with me. I got to drive it there for a year. On the way to the port to ship it to Germany, the torque converter let go and I had to get it towed the rest of the way.
Now it is in Germany and running (new converter, rebuild kit, new pump) and legal (mostly - steering column has to go back to stock and 18" or so of silencer louvers welded into the tailpipes to hit 92 dB at half redline rpm of 3K). Now I am working on the interior and trying to get the engine running the best I can. I will be turning to you all for some help here soon on that front.
