Tack...requires shielded wire??
« on: October 13, 2008 - 07:46:51 PM »
I just can't get the tack to work right.  When idling.......ok on the RPM........but on the road I can turnup 8500 and be doing 40 mph, and I am not in First gear either!!  Is a shielded wire required as to not pick up any voltage from other sources? :dunno:   :1zhelp:

no it doesn`t need shielded wire , the factory tachs are usually screwy & will read way off which is why most people are doing the electronic conversions now , electronic were not very adavnced in 1969
