really? you guys seem ideal on a 750. I always thought a 750 was too big.
It's not that the 750 is to big, but more difficult to tune in on milder engines in the RPM range you drive in or a varried range of RPM's. The smaller carb , with smaller venturi's have more velocity and will give a better throttle response in a varied, around town drive.
The biggest item not addressed here is what is up with your engine? Stock, modified? If so, what was done?

My smaller carb recomendation is made with a side plate of caution rather than a typical hot rodder answer or racer mind set.
If you can tune a carb, you can get a 1050 Dom to work on a stock 318. Not saying you'll like it as compared to a 500 cfm carb, which is most suitable for it.
