340 pilot bearing question
« on: June 25, 2008 - 12:12:52 AM »
I want to restore my car to original.  It was a 4 speed 340 car.  I know where a complete 340 engine is that has an automatic tranny with it.  Is the crankshaft on this engine drilled for a pilot bearing?

What kind of tranny should I be looking for?  My car has the d21 trans code.  Are these pieces hard to find?

depends on the year of the 340 , most were drilled but if not you can use the Dakota pilot brg instead so no issue either way
I guess youi need a A833 Tranny or the oD version & all the parts for it , there is a list of parts in the archive section to convert to a 4 spd
