Blower Motor Hookup

Something is not right!  My fan motor in the engine compartment has a dark green wire with a female connector and a black ground.  There is a connector with green wire that mates with the blower motor connector, but it leads back to the number four slot on the bulkhead connector...which is blank (no tab or wiring into the cab)  A blue wire also runs to the bulkhead and connects into another blank slot in position #3.  The wiring diagram show bulkhead slots 3 and 4 as blanks too???  I figured this was for the A/C which my car no longer has.  Anyway, the dark green blower motor connection should go to the blower motor resistor according to the wiring diagram, but the wire harness will not get it there.  What gives?

Did you replace the bulkhead connector?  I just pulled my connector, there are connections on those locations.  But, I guess you probably already know there should be.

Yes, that is a new main harness so I was surprised that the 3 and 4 slots were blank.  My original bulkhead connector has those slots wired.  Guess I need to look at the original harder to see how it was wired.  The wiring diagram shows those slot as blanks too so what gives with that?  Any suggestions?

Thanks for the link Katfish.  I check that diagram in the link and it to shows slots 3 and 4 in the bulkhead connector as blanks too    This got me thinkin (very dangerous) and I may have just solved my own problem.    I found a blue and dark green wire taped together that is on the far left side of the dash, near the headlight and wiper switch.  The green wire connects back to the blower moter resistor and the blue wire must be for the A/C.  These match the wiring on the engine side of the firewall that goes to the blower motor and a/c compressor.  The connectors look like they will fit into the blanks on the bulkhead.  Guess since the heater harness was not part of the main harness, it could not be wired into the bulkhead directly.  I'll unwrap the tape that has the wires near the wiper switch and hook it up tomorrow.  Pretty sure this solves the mystery!  Thanks
