Yup, a few Japanese cars will become collectors items too. The odd, I mean, ODD Subaru, like the road rally version 22B Subaru WRX Impreza coupe, Supras are kind of common but for me, the king of them will always be the Nissan Skylines aka Godzilla. The R32 Skyline could be put away for 30 years and be guaranteed a big cash payout. Mean car, fast, good looking and would leave the majority of the cars on this board for dust in a race. Hurts to say but, the truth. Just a shame they get caught up in the rice. Rice = tacky add ons, no performance mods (wings, neons, 8 body kits, 22" bling rubber band wheels, lowered, plastic "extensions") basically tacky and cheap.
Just like there are a few American cars which "let down" the muscle car brotherhood. Boy Racers aka "Rice" often refer muscle cars as "big fat steel whales" etc and most of them would class a 4 door Impala with an exhaust a muscle car. "Yeah, blew the doors off a Chev today, I think it had a 454 too, easy as to beat. Muscle cars - pfffft." Japanese cars are way in front of the world, American, Europe, the UK and Australia. In terms of build quality, technology and reliability, they've got it down to a tee. For me, I'd still take my MoPar anyday thanks.
