removing vinyl top glue

is there a way to remove the glue on the top without harming the paint?  most the glue is still soft and i can clear some of it by pushing with my fingers id like to get it off to take a look at the factory color

Try Goo-Gone. You can get it at Walmart

cool thanks yeah i though id try that goo gone wall paper removal stuff... and i'll try the wd-40 i figured someone on here had a trick for getting that stuff off
