removing lock from e-body glove box lid

I saw a post on how to do this before but can't locate it. I need to remove the glove box lock from my 70 cuda lid. Anyone know how?

it has to be in the locked position to remove ti then there is a small window under the lock where you poke with a paper clip & depress the lock reatiner
 do you have a key for it ?

I took mine to a locksmith.He removed it in about 2 minutes.No charge.He said it was tricky to do if you were trying to do it yourself.

you would need to pick the lock into tthe locked position , take it to a Automotive locksmith they can do it in seconds or send it to me & I will do it
