I know of a guy who hooked up a common fish tank pump to his Dodge Lancer's intake for a little boost.  Just duct taped the thing on I believe...

When I bought my neon R/T in '99 I heard about a kid who took a freaking hair dryer apart and somehow mounted the little propeller inside a fast tube or iceman intake tube. I guess he was going for one of those stupid tornado type things only he did not want to shell out 29.95 lol. Anyway when he gunned the engine the little prop came off and got sucked into the engine. It killed his engine and when the dodge dealership found out what he did they refused to fix his car even though it was under warranty. Some people will do the strangest stuff to try and get some cheap hp.
