Gas Tank Vent Tubes
« on: July 06, 2008 - 07:42:44 PM »
70 Cuda Grande Coupe Convertible. Have installed the tank and connected the vent pipe that comes off the tank, makes an "S" shape through the rear frame rail, goes up into the trunk behind the rear wheel well, makes a loop and goes back down through the trunk floor, aims at the frame rail again,  ..... and then just stops? .....with the pipe end just open to the air? Yes, its a vent, it should be open, but is there no cover or finisher for it to keep mud wasps from making a home in it and plugging the vent?

Mud wasps have better things to do, and I am sure they do not like gas fumes.  ;)
