What's the better plug wires out there?
« on: July 13, 2008 - 08:31:18 PM »
I am looking for a set of plug wires (8mm) that I can make to length. I have new MSD wires but some are a tad to short or a tad to long and makes the engine look "messy". What are some of the better ones out there? By the way, it's for a 340.

I had my eye on some Fire-cores 50 from the guy at moparts this weekend at carlisle.  they are 95 bucks and have a nice 90 degree boot on the dist side.

I have the same problem w/MSD wire length...I emailed them & they sent extra wire & ends to redo mine at n/c....I've been waiting to make an order with Summit to get a MSD crimping tool.

I used these MSD #31193 .
I didn't have any length issues. Worked out great..

Dang, you guys got some very good looking engines. VinB's wires look very nice and probably cost a bit less than Firewires.
Shatar4, where did you get your coil mount?

Nice job! How does the RMP intake work? Does it start easy when hot? My intake tends to boil the fuel out of the carb. I'm looking to upgrade the intake. What carb are you using?
