Ignition Switch Bezel Spinning
« on: February 16, 2009 - 12:53:51 PM »
On my '71 the ignition switch bezel can spin/be removed.  Looks like a tab is missing.  Can this piece be replaced without removing the ignition swith from the column?  I'm guessing not.....

it is a poor design there is only a small tab to keep the bezel from spinning & it is eassily broken off , you need to replace the lock assy to repair it & you need to tear into the column to do that

Mine broke 2 years ago when the kid at the inspection station jammed the key in upside down.  After that I'm the only one who drives it in and out of the booth.
