Trim Molding Clip

These were in the package of new trim clips for the rear window on my Challenger, but I don't recall removing similar clip when the window came out.  I checked the ziplock with my old clips and nothing.  What are they for?  Thanks!

I think used in the installation of the rear glass, but most shops wont use them for fear of the metal knicking the glass and causing it to crack
