Looking at 71 Chally--need help

I have stumbled across what seems like an extremely nice 71 Chally at a local car dealer. It currently has a 440 w/ a automatic (727 I assume). It also has fixed rear quarter windows and is a non ralley dash car. I did get the sale person to give me the first few of the vin which is JH23C. Again it is a beautiful car and they are asking only(?) 26k for it. I know that by the vin that a JH is a base Chally but what is a C code engine? Good price?? Thanks for any input.

What was the other fixed window option, A93? Something like that? I know Dave's new T/A clone car has that option. Unless I'm going goofy...

It sure sounds like a western sport special. For 26K, it better look REAL nice and run well. A bargain? Not really, but a sweet looking Chally is always desireable. Can you post any pics?

Get the fender tag readout also. That will tell you alot about the car.

The WSS Challengers were 1970 only and did not have fixed rear windows.
It sounds like a 1971 Coupe (A93) car to me.
The C engine code is a 225 slant six.

For 26K i would expect to look at every part of the car and get all the numbers for decoding and consideration.

The WSS cars were availble in all 20 colors just like other 1970 Challengers.
A93 Challengers were called "Deputy" in some of the advertising. The A93 option started about mid-model year of 1970 and continued for 1971 models.

Thanks guys! I dont have any pics but the car is listed in the local auto trader here in charlotte and can be seen on autotrader.com. 26k is an asking price, I'm sure that probably flexible. Either way a real nice car!
