2009 super charged Challenger

Anyone seen this yet? Aftermarket add-on that will bump the 2009 Challenger to to 630 HP!!! I have to find a way to get my hands on one of these. I may have to sell the 70....

Sounds good but sell your 70 for it? Now that is a big call. Does anyone else think the shifter in the manual cars is ugly? Looks like performance shifting with it could be "slippery". Needs a ball or T-Handle.

Here are my reasons, right or wrong.. I always said growing up in the mid 80's, if they ever came out with an awesome high performance car again and I could afford it, I would buy it. I don't think I can swing both, but would really love to. If they make the 2010 Challenger with a convertible, it will be tough to not order one. May not be the best decision, and I have not made it yet, so we will see.

LOL! Sweet and I wasn't judging you (right or wrong) just curious as it's a big decision. They're making bucket loads of the new LX Challengers, they're not and will not be building any more 1970 Challengers. Begs the question, will they build convertibles........be great to see. Myself, I'd never sell my classic Challenger. Ever.

The new shifter looks like a new age, leather wrapped, remake of the pistol grip. I don't know if I like it.

Just depends what you want. If you want an every day driver, then go for it. But if you are just going to leave it sit in your garage and only take it out on weekends, keep the old one.

Look at the PT Cruisers. They were really cool at first, and everyone pointed when one rolled by. Now, they're all over the place, and nobody pays any attention.

Your classic will always get attention, and you wont lose a ton in depreciation.

You are not seriously comparing a PT Cruiser to the Challenger??!!

I think what he's getting at is that the PT had a unique nostalgia look to it when it first came out, and tons of people went gaga for them(my aunt was/is crazy about them... i think she's a little weird).    It wasn't long until we started seeing them everywhere and they just kind of blended into the background.  The same thing is happening with the new mustang body style.  I only notice one now if its a Shelby or a GT350H.  I think we are still seeing the challenger for what it is, fresh, new and yet still familiar.  5 years from now, it will be a 5 year old body style.
