I just remembered, I had some pictures from a meet in Västerås, Sweden, to share with you all.
Now, since most people here has seen Challengers and Cudas before, I won't post so many pic of those.
Besides, it wasn't that many of them around to photograph either...This meet is the largest american car meet in Europe, but nice old cars from other countries are also welcome here, even if american cars absolutely dominate the place.
The
Power Big Meet takes place at an airstrip outside the city, and lasts for three days, and when it's going on, it's a good atmosphere in the city.
Along a strip of the ring road, some people make little stands to sell food and soda on their properties, there are trailers that sells food and candy, stands that sell clothes, there's also a tivoli present. But who are these people catering to if the meet takes place outside the city, you might ask?
Every evening, a few hours from when the meet closes for the night, and going on as long as people feels like, there's a cruise in the city, and those of the people who live there that hasn't fled the city flocks down to the ring road to watch. It's only traffic in one direction then, the other way is closed for police use, and other who have a good reason to not drive in a few kilometers an hour, among the procession of cool cars, and the odd scrap heap on wheels.
